My Story

I am walking towards a happier, healthier future by taking on Liverpool Wellness Walk. 

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2021. It explained a lot - why I was tired all the time, why I was always drinking, but it has changed my life significantly. I have to now watch what I eat and when, and I've made a concerted effort to execrice more.

Also, my Dad has been living with type 1 for 55 years. I have seen first hand the diffiiculties of the condition, but also the developments that have been made over the last 30 odd years. From blood testing using colour matching strips, glass phials of insulin and hypodermic needles to real time, non-invasive glucose monitoring and automated insulin pumps.

These devlopments would not have been possible without the support of charitable donations.
