My Story

So as a family we are walking for Diabetes UK to raise money to improve awareness, fund new technology's and to find a cure!

On the 22nd November 22 our second son Roman was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes aged 13. It came as a big shock and something we know absolutely nothing about. The last few months have changed all our life's forever especially for Roman. Lots & lots of learning, researching, hospital appointments, counting carbohydrates, pricking fingers, scanning libres, constant alarms, and dealing with hypos & hypers!!

Type 1 diabetes is lifelong, Roman has done nothing to bring this on he could have done nothing to prevent it from happening, he is just very unlucky. And although diabetes is manageable it is uncurable at present.

So we would be so grateful if you could donate to this amazing charity, so that together we can not only help Roman but everyone that is affected by diabetes xx
